Protect yourselves from scams:
"Cambridgeshire County Council has a number of resources that can be disseminated to those who would like them.......
....... or would like to hand them out to neighbours: e.g. Little Book of Big Scams, ‘We’re Not Buying It’ door stickers, Keep Calm and Hang Up booklets, distraction burglary information booklets, bookmarks and a small number of easy read ‘How to get fewer phone calls you do not want’ booklets. These give useful information about different scams, what someone should do if they suspect a scam and tools that can be employed to support people being targeted by scams e.g. mail redirection, call blocking devices etc.
In addition to this they can deliver Scams Awareness talks together with training in the form of Scams and Fraud Education (SAFE) talks or Friends Against Scams training. The former can be tailored to the requirements of the group (e.g. 20 mins to an hour with or without PowerPoint depending on what the group wants) and the latter is a 2 hour training course resulting in a certificate and pin badge.
