The 'Ask Me' project is a scheme that works in the community by building a network of Community Ambassadors across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. They raise awareness of domestic abuse
and help to create safe environments for survivors to feel able to disclose abuse. They play a key role in signposting to specialist services – the refuges, helplines and outreach services – and in challenging the culture which silences women. A Community Ambassador can be anyone who talks to people in their local area, and it doesn't matter if this is through work or social clubs etc. We're running 12-hours of free training for Community Ambassadors, and are currently looking for people who would like to take part.
