Huntingdon's 10k & 3k Charity Races 2012
The race is now in its 3rd year, and is being organised by Hullabaloo, a new group formed to raise funds for local charities.
This year the event will take place on the Alconbury Airfield, on Sunday 17th June (Fathers day)
Six Huntingdonshire children's charities will benefit from the profits of the third Huntingdon 10k Charity Race: Disability Huntingdonshire, Riverside Theatre Company, Huntingdon Youth Theatre, the Fusion programme, the Crossroads Young Carers' Project in Huntingdon and Dreamdrops will all share proceeds of the race.
This year’s event will also feature a 3km fun run and a community fair. The Fun Run is open to anyone of any age or experience and there are 1,000 places in the all-terrain race.
There will also be a race “programme”, which will be a great souvenir, and charities entering a team of at least 6 members can place a short “biog” with their logo in it.
We are looking for charities and local organisations to have a stall at the community fair, where you can let everyone know about your charity or group, and have a chance to fundraise!
Charities and voluntary groups can benefit in several ways:
- By putting in a team, and getting sponsorship for their runners (fun run and 10k!)
-
By having a stall for more fundraising and publicity (£20 or free with a team of 6) We are looking for clubs to organise activities to entertain the crowds and raise money for themselves at the same time.
