A Fond Farewell Ben

As many of you may well be aware, St Neots recently elected a new Councillor for Huntingdon District Council in a by-election.  We are delighted to announce that Ben Pitt, our Communities Officer, was elected as HDC Councillor for St Neots East as the Independent candidate winning 249 votes.

However, this does mean that along with other new adventures he is looking to pursue, Ben has made the decision to leave Hunts Forum at the end of August.

Ben has been an outstanding member of Hunts Forum and has supported various communities throughout the district to develop grassroots ideas over the past four years in his role as Communities Officer. We all know this experience will be significant in his new role as Councillor at the District Council.

Kathryn Shepherdson, Deputy CEO, said, ‘We are unfortunate to see Ben leave but know that he has a lot more to offer the communities of Huntingdonshire and St Neots, as a Councillor and through using his knowledge and experiences in new projects that he is involved in. I’m excited to watch what’s around the corner!’

Everyone at Hunts Forum, including Staff and Trustees, would like to wish Ben the best of luck in the future and look forward to working with him through projects he is involved in.
