We recently received the follow email from the COVID 19 Vaccination hub, which applies to all VCSE front line staff and volunteers;
We are writing to you to give you an update on the COVID-19 vaccination booster programme. As a frontline health and social care worker, you will be eligible to receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine after at least 6 months have passed since your second dose.
Booking your booster dose through the National Booking System
The NHS COVID-19 vaccination National Booking Service is open for bookings of the booster vaccine now. If you would like to use the National Booking Service to book an appointment for your booster at one of the large scale vaccination centres or community pharmacies in our area, you can do so via www.nhs.uk/covidvaccine. You will need to select the Health and Social Care Worker option to enable booking via the system. Please note that you will need to bring proof of NHS or social care employment with you to your vaccination. We would recommend you take your ID badge to fulfil this requirement.
Please note booster vaccinations cannot be accessed on a walk-in basis.
