Change of format this year, for AGM and Awards

It’s that time of the year again; when the leaves are falling from the trees, we all think about getting jumpers out of the wardrobe, and the VCS AGM (Annual General Meeting) season is upon up. This includes Hunts Forum AGM and Volunteer Awards, which is due to take place in December 2021.

Last year, due to restrictions, we decided to move the AGM and Volunteer awards online. Those who attended the event agreed that the format and set-up of the event worked very well, and it allowed everyone to access both events. However, it was agreed it wasn’t the same as in person.

Following on from the success of last year, the staff and trustees started to discuss how this year would look. Considering the responses we got from the recent survey, the current public health situation in Huntingdonshire and resources within Hunts Forum. It has been agreed that the 2021 AGM will happen online on the 2nd December 4:00 – 5:00 pm, but that the Awards will be postponed till early 2022 when the weather is nicer, and we can host in person.

We hope everyone understands that while the AGM format works very well online, the team felt the awards are about our community. Therefore, having the opportunity to meet in person was vital. Therefore, we will look to run the Awards in person in the Spring.

More information on the AGM will be realised soon.
