CARESCO granted The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

Everyone at Hunts Forum would like to congratulate CARESCO, a long-standing member since 2006, for achieving The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in June 2022.

This award is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE.

CARESCO is a unique charity based in the village of Sawtry, near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, which exists to serve the local community in Sawtry and its satellite villages.

Under the CARESCO umbrella are several services offered to the local community, including several clubs and social groups.  They also host the local foodbank and the village car scheme in partnership with other organisations.

CARESCO also edits and publishes the popular Sawtry Eye magazine.
