RAF Benevolent Fund change of staff

RAF Benevolent Fund recently contacted us to let us know of a change of staff.

Dear all,

I wanted to advise you of a change of staff at the RAF Benevolent Fund. Ian Denton has replaced me in the role as Community Engagement Worker for Cambridgeshire as I move into a new role within the Fund. Ian will continue our work to support members of the RAF family, both veterans and their partners, suffering with loneliness and isolation and I encourage you to make contact with Ian for any referrals.

As Community Engagement Worker Ian will engage with our Beneficiaries to explore their needs and support them in finding and engaging with activities. The RAF Benevolent Fund can provide advice and funding to those in need to support them in achieving their goals.

Ian is available to provide more detailed briefings to teams on his role and the wider support provided by the Fund. To request more information or to make referrals for social isolation contact Ian by email at ian.denton@rafbf.org.uk or telephone 07784238185.

In addition the Community Engagement Role the Fund provides a wide range of emotional, advice and financial support to RAF veterans and their partners. Details of support can be found on our website and any enquiries or requests for support will now be dealt with by our Welfare Support team via https://www.rafbf.org/how-we-help/request-our-help-today or by telephone on 0300 102 1919.

For me I am moving into a role covering across the East of England assessing complex referrals for financial support, but I would like to thank the Hunts Forum and all those members who have given me advise and support in the early stages of our project and have referred veterans to me for our support. I wish you all the best in your continued works across Huntingdonshire and engagement with the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Matt Rowe
