Charities and community groups from across Huntingdonshire have collaborated on a video to say thank you to the thousands of volunteers who do such an incredible job for their local communities.
This week (1-7 June) is Volunteers’ Week, a national celebration of the contribution volunteers make to society. Volunteering has never been more important as people go to extraordinary lengths to help each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. New groups have sprung up in response to the crisis, while established organisations have transformed their operations to respond to changing needs. Regardless of the size of the organisation, how long it’s been running for and whether it is supporting people through the COVID-19 crisis or supporting communities in other ways, volunteers are the lifeblood of our communities.
That’s why we invited our member organisations to participate in this video. It’s just a little something to say thanks to the thousands of volunteers across Huntingdonshire.
We have 120 member organisations who improve the lives of Huntingdonshire residents in a myriad of ways. Find out about their work here. You can find out more about how Hunts Forum’s Recognised Organisations are supporting our communities through the COVID-19 crisis here.
